Sweet Treats and a Budget Friendly Idea to Place Them

Image

Weddings and parties are always an excuse to get all gussied up and have a great time. Speaking of weddings, my big brother got married this past weekend to the love of his life, and their wedding was flawless. She did an amazing job planning and the day was absolutely perfect.

This is a “sweet” idea for a centerpiece used at my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding. It’s budget friendly for a wedding or to class up your next party that is less than five dollars to make!

You’ll Need:

  • A Bowl
  • A Tall Glass
  • A Plate
  • Gemstones
  • Hot Glue
  • Cupcakes/Cake/Cookies to be placed on top

The centerpiece is made by placing a bowl on the bottom glued to a tall drinking glass filled with gems in the middle and topped off with a plate (yep it is that easy!) All the items listed. can be easily found at any dollar store.

If you want to create a  relaxed mood try adding an electronic candle in the middle of the vase or using different colored and style of glass or gems to fit your theme.

What are your go-to’s when hosting a party?

My.First.Blog.Ever

Hi everyone! I want to take a second if you are reading this for the first time to welcome you to my first personal blog post that I have ever written out into cyberspace. I want you to know that I am no Betty Crocker when it comes to cooking, and I am no genius on fashion but I finally have to admit to myself that when I graduate college I want to be able to cook myself a decent meal, and dress to the nines for an interview and life in general (in an outfit that is not a pair of sweats) so what better time to learn than my senior year? Okay okay, maybe I should have started this journey or experiment a long time ago, but better late than never right?

A little about myself and what to look forward to.

I love fashion, chocolate, and mixing both together while reading the most recent edition of Cosmopolitan Magazine. I have a love hate relationship with magazines mainly because I religiously take in every word and every picture, but like most college students could never afford or have time or having a hard time believing half the advice they give me.

I live on a budget of both money and time. Through this blog I will put the fashion and lifestyle magazines and the internet to the test that could go from making “healthy and easy” recipes to looks for less fashion advice while letting you in on my own tricks and secrets.

Do you have similar feelings towards your favorite magazine?
